The M1 Garand

I have a Mosin Nagant, German Mauser K98, M1 Carbine, and M1 Garand. The M1 Garand is superior to all of them. The 30-06 is a better bullet than the 8mm. The M1 carbine with a 30 round magizine is a joy to shoot and a good weapon at a short distance; in my opinion 200 meters or less. So, I would choose the M1 carbine for shorter distance targets and the M1 Garand for anything over 200 meters. I can hit man sized targers at 500 meters with my Garand all day long.

i thought it shot a 30-06 not a .30 thats the m1 carbine caliber

If you took the Garand action and put it in a psudo-M16 body (Raised sights, stock aligned to barrel, lightweight composite furniture, etc) I'm certain you would have a weapon close to perfection.

@TheAKOmnicide Just adding to the saying, "If it works, dont screw with it"

.30 is one of the most common rifle calibers to date. It's a big chunk of lead that works.

the m1 grand was semi auto not bolt action

Small mistake! the Garand was not the first SLR given to infantry. Rather, it is was the first general issue SLR (rifle issued to the majority of troops). As early as 1900, there were select regiments of troops armed with SLRs but they were ceremonial as their weapons were too fragile for field use. The real important feature of the Garand is that it is the first reliable combat SLR.

Thanks so much! In reality, this was done rather quickly but seeing the end result..hell, I think next time around I'm going to actually make something really educational.
