Martyn Lyell has been awarded the Scottish Legends Scholarship for 2009.
This began for Martyn with a test day on 12th March at Knockhill along with many of the other Legends racers.
Aly Hunter, Scottish Legends boss said on the Scottish Legends website www.scotlegends.co.uk
Martyn Lyell, aged 19, comes from Penicuik. He is not new to circuit racing having had considerable success as Go-Kart racer over the past 5 years. Martyn joined us at the October meeting last year driving Car 68 (Carols) in not the best track conditions, quietly and impressively moving up from the back of the grid for mid-field finishes.
Martyn enjoyed the test day and made good progress, reducing his lap times to within a tenth of a second of the fastest driver in the Scottish Legends garage
