1 of 5 Some great racing at Sears Point in the 1987 SCCA Bendix Trans Am - including some really cool in-car video of the Roush Merkur XR4Ti beasts, in their 4cylinder turbo trim during this race (later converted to V8 -- note I raced against these cars up in Portland at last years historics race, you can see some in-car of that on my channel as well) -- There are also some interviews with a very young Scott Pruett here too (Formula-1 Scott? :) ).

  • @wagnerov I'm enjoying the commercials as well... good stuff, and brings back some great memories from when I was a young 16 year old gearhead watching this, and reading an issue of "Car & Driver" road tests, featuring the 1987 Mustang GT vs 1987 Camaro IROC-Z ...LOL!!!

  • Check out Dave Despain... he looks so different back then...LOL!!! Nice American Motorsport history with this video, thanks for sharing!

  • Why no sound?

  • @ben1245689 Yes.

  • What was usa sports was it a part of the usa network

  • Dave was doing a show on TBS, called Motorweek Illustrated around this time.

  • "Formula 1 Scott?" ...how about Formula One ... Bob Varsha. Or Dave Despain, pre-MotoWorld...ahh, another, better, country. Thanks for a truly Classic upload, complete with VARA commercials.
