Friends were gracious enough to invite us to dinner on the 4th of July and share the wonderful view of the fireworks display from their farm. We had a grand time playing with fireworks, sharing conversation with old and new friends and they even took this old gal on a hay ride with the kids. Here is a sample of what we saw.

Stars and Stripes Forever - John Philip Sousa

Played by the U.S. Merchant Marine Academy

The "Stars and Stripes Forever" became our "National March" on December 11, 1987, when President Reagan signed the Congressional legislation. In the recording the famous piccolo solo is played twice. However, the second time it is played by Midshipman Jeffery Hurley of San Antonio, Texas on the TUBA!
