As incredible as it might seem, the producers of the Broadway production of "Funny Girl" didn't like this song composed by Jule Styne and Bob Merrill when they first heard it. Not until Merrill insisted that Barbra at least get a chance to sing it on stage during the try-outs before the actual opening of the show was it finally included in the musical. Legend has it that this song was written in about 30 minutes, but whether it took 30 minutes or 30 years, it remains one of the finest pieces of music ever written for the Broadway stage. This extended recording is drawn from the film version of "Funny Girl". "People" was Barbra's first Top 40 recording, peaking at #5 during May of 1964, and it has remained the signature song of her career.

Hey Mr. Nocaro, i haven't been ignoring you, but man you are too fast for me, each time you creat a new video I'm in the middle of somethintg else, like you, entertaining the masses here in YT. But when I saw this song I had to comment.
