Visit http://pcwizkidstechtalk.com/index.php/mvix-780hd-review.html for more details. The Mvix MX-780HD Media Center decodes media files without a computer , it is a scalable storage device for keeping up to 1 Terabyte of media you can playback on your TV. Watch your movies in HD at 1080i with this unit

  • Hey WizKid, Nice videos. Can the little box record a program from TV to watch later?

  • Unfortunately no, it is not a PVR, can does not record, only playback.

  • how do you get the product???

  • You can get it at newegg.c o m , take a look at my article for the link to the latest pricing.

  • It's missing HDMI and VGA outputs.

I suppose for most products that lack a DVI port, they have an HDMI and can simply use an adapter... so that should work well... but then they have to use another cable for audio/

  • Mvix has another unit like this that has the HDMI on it. I'm reviewing the DVI version.

  • thanks! i'm a movie FAN-A-TIC and was looking for ifo on MVIX. this really helped. thanks again!

  • Great vid. FYI they are about to release the Mvix Ultio which is a step up and capable of playing MKV files! MKV files have open standard free container format,as you all know have full 1080p content and a lot of BD's are now being offered on them.

  • That is pretty nice, i would buy one. but i have an old xbox i modded with 8 gigs and thats enought for music and a couple movies

  • Have you used a torrent client on this?

  • S-Video is said to produce better quality than composite. It still need sound input.

  • Great demo and review

  • Maybe i should buy one thats an awesome product!

  • If you have all that then you probably have an external hard drive (or sh** load of USB sticks). But wouldn't you rather have an external hard drive that can connect with your TV and has a UI?

  • If you can install your own HDD in this thing, 1 TB isn't the max, 2TB is^^

  • that is something that is worth buying thanks for the review
