This is my favorite song by Andy McKee! I like how he keeps the rhythm by using his thumb while he's playing.

@Rael0505 i think its also to hold drop tunings better if i am not mistaken because he plays in DADGAD. there are a lot of plus's for fanned frets.

His guitar is ergonomic. The bridge, nuts and frets are spread out in an array. This undoubtedly causes less strain on the wrist and makes chords easier to play.

Yes, you're right. Actually, I have a video from this concert of him explaining how fanned frets are ergonomic and provide more accurate intonation. You should check it out :)
