After some research and conversations, I've come to a conclusion -chief among which is the idiocy of a certain YouTube User.

  • You cognitive dissonance is making you dislike people that tell you your beliefs are stupid.

  • @Itchyback D00d, don't make this about me. Watch my two videos on this subject all the way through, please, and this time, listen to what I say, rather than going off on a tangent about "cognitive dissonance," as if you're a mind reader, or something.

  • .. and like you, I might not appreciate his style of arguing, but he does have a point about Craig: he throws his weight around as an academic -- if you're not aware of TBS I would check out his channel /TheoreticalBullshit ... had had somewhat of a debate with Craig not too long ago, where Craig spent the majority of rebuttal belittling him.

  • @karausu I know who TBS is. As for Dr. Craig, he does have that right if he has the academic chops. But I've watched Dr. Craig in action. He's always very gracious in debate and discussion. I think that the whole "belittling" thing is really a matter of perception. No one who thinks he's right and feels that he/she can prove it likes being told he/she is wrong, and why. And I'm not trying to speak ill of TBS. I actually like the guy.

  • exactly!!

"They are not his intellectual property!!"

  • @SAHBfan Yeah, but signed affidavits such as that are still a form of being "under oath." That's where perjury comes in. It's lying "under oath." It obviously doesn't have to be just a verbal oath of testimony.

  • @DecKrash

You don't have to be under oath - a DMCA is a legal document. A false claim on a legal document which, by law, must be signed as true and correct under 'penalty of perjury' is....perjury.

Look it up, here is a quote from wikipedia:

"The rules for perjury also apply when a person has made a statement under penalty of perjury, even if the person has not been sworn or affirmed as a witness before an appropriate official"

  • @MoonwalkerWorshiper It does apply to TF.

  • Respect for not letting your personal feelings cloud your views, wish more people could employ this. This is the first 2 videos ive seen of yours and they were thoughtful and fair..good stuff man

  • @SAHBfan Actually, perjury is lying under oath. The situation you mentioned is something different. Can't remember what it's called, though.

  • @tml4873 Yeah. Kinda felt embarrassed after that myself. :-P Oh well...

  • @DarkScience0 Yep I saw something to that effect recently, DCV is unlikely to be an actual representative of WLC. So DCV can be taken to court for perjury.

I wish just once someone would actually serve a summons on somebody who used the DMCA incorrectly. It would cut down on the false use immensely, particularly if it was publicized.
