@TheFranglais--I know this post is a year old, but I am glad you mentioned that. I am interested in being a flight attendant and now I know to avoid American. Employers (like each and every one in the putrid, redneck-infested, shithole of North Carolina) should cease to exist the WORST way possible.

You've obviously misunderstood the purpose of these posts. They're not intended as a 'venting station' for AA flight attendants to let off steam, but to highlight the appalling way they re being treated by their own company. Yes we may all get back injuries by moving the wrong way, but some jobs are more susceptible than others, and its not about being careful! Pushing and pulling a 500lb cart and reaching over it all day takes its toll. You should think before making 'overall statements'.

WE ALLLLLLLLLL get back injuries if we move the wrong way. Why do flight attendants whine so much. Just quit your job; somebody else will be more careful than you.

Gosh I always wanted to be a flight attendant....
I cannot believe that American will not pay their staff if they are sick or injured while on the job! In other parts of the world, at least where I'm from, this is completely illegal. How did they get the Unions to agree??
ALL AMERICAN EMPLOYEES - STAND TOGETHER, BE FIRM AND FIGHT FOR WHATS YOURS!
