doctor who as definitely changed in the story. the newest doctor is i must say boring. or i think the episodes r boring but also just jumping here and there i wish they were like the old shows they had better a better story plot and just in general were much better

Personally, I'd love to see the Wirrn return in the new series. "The Ark in Space" didn't focus much on their backstory, with their original home in Andromeda destroyed by the human empires. It would be intriguing, with the Doctor forced to confront the fact that humans are not always a force for good (look what happened to the Ood!), and may need more guidance in co-existing with other species.

And of course, with modern special effects, the Wirrn's look could easily be updated.

That thing is hilarious... you can practically see the person inside the costume. Love it though, I'd rather have this than CGI.
