The 15" Woofer Challenge (RESULTS) - 3 Brands 3 teams, best box wins BIG (VID 2 of 2)

The First SMD 15" Woofer Contest - Best box wins! 6 catagories, 3 teams, 3 different (similar spec) brands. Catagories are:

Loudest
Average Loudest 20-80hz
Look
Speed
Durability
bonus for Trunk

1st worth 15pts, 2nd worth 10pts, and 3rd worth 5. Is your box loud but ugly? You might not win! Is it pretty but shitty (sounding)? It might not win.......is it stout or will it shatter the first night playing it? I will be looking at wiring, structure, cleanliness of boards (lined up), and bracing. The entire back seat all the way to the B-Pillar is available but If they choose to put the box in the trunk, they get a 10 point bonus. Is this contest perfect, NO...is it fun and will i get better as a host? I HOPE SO! Thanks for watching!

Before you say, "i recognize some of these guys, they are your friends", there is no secret here that a few of them are indeed my friends. I put the word out on my website and facebook last week and only a couple people showed up. It was partly my fault, it was short notice. I dont like putting my address on the net for too long so short notice seemed to be a good idea. Most the locals know where i am at anyway. I put the word out the following Saturday (the day in the video) and it was the same thing, only a couple showed up. I HAD to call in some friends and said "FUCK IT, you guys want in?" Of course they did. Nobody in the competition is a pro and it was a lot of fun. I shouldnt have to explain myself but i figured i would in case someone tries to call me out. Some jackass did in the last video comments. Anyway, Ask anyone in the competition, it was 100% on the level. Next time, maybe some of the people who flaked out will see im serious when i say BIG prizes. People walked away with over $2000.00 MSRP of gear, cash, and spray foam (LOLZ)

Anyway -
This is my first time doing this so excuse the lack of professionalism in my broadcast. This is a lot of work to put together but it was fun to do! We will be doing this again!

Did a damn good job man. Personally I would have done 3 of the same woofers (brand and model) to make it all about the team's skills. But to each his own.
