  • THE CHIPS use to do it's afternoon run behind a 36. I guess it was assisted up the main 1in33 grade into Katoomba with a standard goods loco ?

Thanks for HD video. Makes all the better video.

  • Thank you....I'm glad you liked the video :)

  • any one know when one will be heading up the mountains again (specifically or roughly what time it'll steam through Blaxland as that's a great spot to watch it with that setup to see it roaring up the line on the over pass bridge and turn round see it breezing through the station and continuing on) plus Blaxland being my home town in the lower mountains (sure beats the V set's)

  • I like the video. Beautiful steamer. But the one thing that I don't like about British trains is all of the wires.

  • @TheSteamdriver Because EE Lucy, designer of the 35s & 36s, was trained on the GWR.

  • But very cold

  • Nice Sunny Blue Sky

  • Unbelievable steam engine. 3642 is working hard on the Blue Mountain. Wish to ride on 3642 with the Blue Mountain.

  • Noticed the older-style number on the front bufferbeam - all on the right side (left facing camera) of the coupler instead of two digits each side.

  • These class engines also worked out of Orange Loco and it was great to see one back in action.

  • Nice footage..havn't seen this loco since 1988...must get back there!

  • Conspicuously American looking trucks/bogies under that tender/coal car. Very similar to outside swing hanger AAR Style B trucks. Pretty engine. Leonor F. Loree, of Delaware and Hudson fame, would have approved mightily.
