  • @tamilovesnoles i have no healthcare. im self employed, i make just too much to not qualify for medicare, and i make too little to pay for it on my own anymore. the cheapest coverage for me, considering where i live had risen in price by 60% in a year.

a friend of mine, also self employed, is in the same sinking boat, and will never afford private insurance because he had cancer when he was younger. lowest he was quoted was 1800, and is cancer free, and has been for about 10 years.

  • As always, even when I disagree, I have nothing bad to say about Tony (or Mark).

  • Hey Mark, if you don't or won't allow different views or comments other than yourself and Tony (a liberal) then why not just disable your comment feed? Or have you sunk that far into apostasy?

  • Tony's take is interesting to say the least. I agreed with him on the fact that both parties are at fault, but more importantly the CHURCH has dropped the ball in so many ways in caring for the poor, orphaned, and widowed. It is true it's not about us as indididuals but the church has to be the pro active and not just wait for someone else to take care of these issues. We are not always going to aggree on the exact solution but we should all be finding a way to be a part of it. God bless

  • Most of the time I agree with what is said, today I don't. I'm against universal health care. Why? It gives government more control. It isn't political. Health care belongs to doctors, not politicians/insurance companies. I never had a problem paying for my care until HMO's came into view. You can discuss that all you want. This is my statement always, 'God allowed me to be free and I won't allow man (or government) to change that. Be blessed.

  • This is one of my favorite episodes ever! :-) thanks for posting, Mark!

  • I love this series. However, I've yet to meet one of the 46MM AMERICANS who have no health care. Where are they? They have Medicaid, Medicare, private insurance, employment based insurance free ER services. I just don't see how it's possible the number quoted here is correct. In my city there is access to free medical, dental, etc through charities I support financially Those with the worst medical care though, are the ones who have gov. backed services.
