come on - the magazine is famous for its WORD puzzles. that's why I buy the sunday times - so make it smaller, and only have one - you win! Maybe there's no need to buy the paper?

The got the solution right, but made a mistake getting there. The 5 box could have contained 2 and 3 OR 1 and 4. The 1 and 4 option is only eliminated after you have filled in everything else.

What the...? No one's commented on this yet? It's great that Shortz has taken up the Kenken craze. Now maybe we Americans will learn some math!

I don't think it's possible that things like KenKen and crosswords don't help your brain stay fit.
