  • I love early recordings of vintage ethnic music from around the world. I have a nice collection of cds of early recordings from many genres and countries and am always on the search for anything I don't have. Only wish that more could be done to preserve and rerelease the priceless early recordings. I am looking forward to purchasing this cd. Hope to see more like it!

  • THIS ALBUM IS AN INCREDIBLY VALUABLE CONTRIBUTION TO UNIVERSAL MUSICAL HERITAGE. I HOPE MR. FAIRFIELD GETS ENOUGH SUPPORT TO WARRANT FURTHER VOLUMES. I THOUGHT I HAD A FIND WITH SOLOMON LINDA AND HIS 1930'S POP RECORDING OF MBUBE CONFUSED BY PETE SEEGER TO BE AN ANCIENT FOLK CHANT. HANDS DOWN, EVERYTHING ON THIS CD BEATS ANYTHING WE COMMON COLLECTORS HAD CONSIDERED RARE! MR. FAIRFIELD, KUDOS AND KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK!!

  • interresting. make him talk about this lost music. I can't have enough of this!

I didn't get what he meant about french music. I am Belgian and I can only say that here (or France) also unindustrialised music has been "forgotten". It is important to try to live out of the industrialised world (as much as it is possible). Music is part of it.

  • i found this album in a record shop. it's a great collection of music from all around the world. i also imagine that if frank didn't get these released, this music would certainly be forgotten about.
