Now that Acer has released the 3.1 update for the Iconia Tab A500, anyone with the device can plug in or pair and use either a usb or bluetooth mouse. It will work with stock Honeycomb 3.1 or a custom 3.1 Rom.
In this video I show you how to pair and use a bluetooth mouse.

  • probably a dumb question and im guessing that the answer is yes ... can you use the bluetooth mouse and bluetooth keyboard both at the same time?

  • @49saku

Yes! You can use both at the same time. Very convenient.

  • Will a keyboard w/ a touchpad integrated with this?

  • @nicm125 I haven't tested any - but you might want to check out the Acer Iconia forums at XDA-developers. I think someone there tested one with 3.0 and the keyboard worked but the touchpad did not. It might work now that the Iconia is updated to 3.1

  • @kathleenhenri where did you get that stand for the iconia if you don't mind me asking. I would love to buy one for college.

  • @kaydogg15 I bought this stand at Walmart. It's called the Griffin Tablet Stand. You should be able to find it on line as well.

  • @Kathleenhenri So this mean you can use the Logitech keyboard with a bluetooth mouse?

  • Thank You, Just heading down to best buy now and wanted to double check. Funny when I talked to BB on the phone they said no it doesn't work with the mouse but it does with the keyboard. They said it didn't have the driver. I'm thinking all the new ones of date are updated to 3.1. Nov 2011

  • @ClinchMovies I think most 3.1 tablets support bluetooth mice and keyboards. I have tested a ported 3.1 Galaxy Tab ROM on my Acer and was able to pair a mouse but not a keyboard. BUT that is not an actual Galaxy 10.1 but a port of it flashed on my Iconia. Check out the Galaxy Tab 10.1 forums over at xda-developers to make sure.
