BrotherBloat crashing his F-18 in style ;-)
Crash analysis:
The plane was balanced with the 16g camera on the nose, however the extra mass caused slower response on the elevator in a low-altitude split-S, which prevented BrotherBloat from pulling up in time.
NB: The date on the 808 camera is incorrect, but we took this footage before figuring out how to change it using a text config file.
Apologies for the sync issue in PIP - I think it might come from the frame rate discrepancy in the two videos - looks fine while editing.

I just found out how to repair foam jet really good.. Actually I think is the best way to repair EPP, EPS & EPO foam.. the secret is soak the crashed part in BOILING WATER. until it expands the foam and re-foam itself. It wouldn't go back so perfectly but there would be WAY less to fix. ooh use Dry White gorilla glue where you don't want the weight. Epoxy glue for your must have strong bonds.

@CrazyEnergy2 That method is very good indeed, particularly if there is a lot of stress-based deformation on the foam. The only downside is the paint peeling off when you apply hot water :( luckily, this time there was no need for that at all - just some epoxy and it's all good to go! :)

hey it was a bad idea in the first place to launch this jet of the grass.. It was eating up a bunch of weeds.. That would definately damage your motor..

@CrazyEnergy2 Hi, indeed that is the case - however this model is already over a year old and it's seen so much grass action by now that it's a true veteran! :) We have some grass mods in place on the belly and the landing gear. However, your point of the motor blades is most valid - hence we hand-launch it nowadays :)

Ouch!!! That bites!

@JMULIKOW indeed! However, the plane is already airworthy and still performs reasonably well, considering the added weight and imperfections left after re-assembly! :) thanks for watching - subscribe for more if you like! :)
