Having watched and done partner stunting in cheerleading, this really is something else. I'll admit that this technically is a level above, a whole different league, however I do think that cheerleading is impressive in it's own way, in that, if you watch a cheerleaading routine, there will be at least three girls who do pretty much everything. I'd argue that acro's are better at what they do, but cheerleaders do more varied things for competition.

i agree arco and cheering are diff things
even comparing a cheerleader to a acrobatic is a insult .. besides the point cheerleaders are a little on the "plump" side compared 2 acro girls even boys the girls are stick thin!! plus cheerleaders aren't graceful at all

If Acrobatics and Cheerleading were the same thing, why name them differently?
The Acrobats and the Cheerleaders defend respectively his sport as something very different, and sometimes the result are huge discussions...
Besides that if Acro and Cheer were the same, the number of acrobats in Portugal was almost nule, because, if there is Cheer here I hadn't ever heard about it!

Hey this stuff is real.
I've seen it done.
It takes incredible strength and balance to do this and its so hard to comprehend the things they do sometimes, so it can seems fake. However with the time, training and talent these people have put into the sport... Wow.
Good on them for doing it so amazingly! Only a very small percentage of people get to an elite level of such quality.
Just accept that its real and admire their courage and abilities!!
