  • I will not have an argument on this video on whether Bill Champlin and / or Lou Pardini are good or not-good musicians. I'll answer it for you: they are both good musicians. If you disagree, take it elsewhere. Free speech on this particular subject does not apply, because I said so. Comments are off.

  • Good grief, how long has this band been irrelevant for...like the last 35 years? Whoopeeee (yet another) Christmas album. What next, Chicago XXXVIII - - Greatest Hits of the Greatest Hits, Vol 7. The only thing I need to say about this event(?) is... why?

Even that much more pleasurable watching this with the sounds of people slurping down their lunch. Was this an AARP meeting or something.

  • The concerts prove it. Hundreds of fans, a Fan Club, a yearly Convention, and the record sales alone completely shoot down your mere opinion. I am a musician myself, and I know. Are you? The next time you post something on my channel, make it positive, or don't post it at all. If another comment is negative or sarcastic, it will be removed. Any other CHICAGO advocate (or staff member for that matter) would agree with what I have said.

  • Lamm shoulda never had Champlin fired

  • Robert did not have Bill fired. Your facts are incorrect. Bill wanted to pursue a solo career with his music and other musicians, and that's what he's doing. It's the same situation that Pete Cetera did in 1985. Do your homework before replying.

  • If there was jealousy there, why was Bill on the band for over 20 years?! I know the managers and the production staff, I know the facts. You can stop here.

  • whoever got whom fired or quit, BC is in a better place from an artistic POV. Commercially, he could've done better staying put, but how many of us are in the same rut for 20 years and want a change. Regarding CHI, somewhere in the 90's I imagine, they came to the fork in the road, to either stay creative or become the jukebox. They went the jukebox route. That's not a bad thing, as people don't go to the Van Halen show to hear the album cuts, they want the hits.

  • @MaestroPS2008 @MaestroPS2008 YOU need to do your homework -- there was always jealousy there - Lamm had Bill fired. It all finally came to a head. Check YOUR facts.

Not that I should even need to correct you on what you are saying, but if you can find any other rock band in the history of American rock music that has the recording history and awards of that of CHICAGO, I'd like to see your answer. Being 41 years old, you should know that this band was at their peak when you were a teenager, so you are diminishing your own knowledge because their music was all over the radio during the 70's, and they are still huge, whether you like it or not
