In September 2009, The Nature Conservancy purchased 15,000 acres of natural wonder and adventure along the Moose River Bow Trip, one of Maine's most popular canoe trips. This purchase preserves the last unprotected portion of the Bow Trip, so that now the entire 30 mile paddle is completely within conservation areas. Join Barbara Vickery, director of conservation for the Conservancy in Maine, as she ventures down the river... ride Attean Falls, have lunch with a moose, and discover what makes this place so special. Then, become a Conservancy member to help preserve special places like the Moose River. (Note: Thanks to Julian Sakata for donating the song "Turning" to the soundtrack.)

  • What a great way to see the majestic beauty of Maine is on the Moose River Bow Trip. So many visitors come to Maine and never even know how beautiful our Kennebec and Moose River Valley's are to behold. Thanks.
