Websites of California State University Stanislaus and University of Memphis Exploited for Affiliate Spam

Watch it at http://www.mhvt.net/quicktime/eng/affiliate_spam.html

More and more websites of American colleges and universities have fallen victims to affiliate spam these days. The latest websites that are exploited for affiliate spam include those of Department of Psychology and Child Development at California State University Stanislaus (http://psyc.csustan.edu/) and Department of Civil Engineering at the University of Memphis (http://www.ce.memphis.edu/)

MacHouse no longer notifies each victimized institution of their affiliate spam problem because

1. most academic institutions have ignored our kind notifications in the past
2. the number of exploited websites is so large that we have no time to contact all victims.
