脱原発世界会議 GLOBAL CONFERENCE FOR A NUCLEAR POWER FREE WORLD

After the nuclear power plant accident in Fukushima, Japan, the world is now faced with a serious decision. Can we live with the fear of a similar accident occurring yet again? On January 14-15 2012, the Global Conference for a Nuclear Power Free World will be held in Yokohama, Japan. Participants from Japan and all over the world will gather to consider the issues surrounding nuclear power and discuss steps that can be taken towards a nuclear power free world. We would like to thank you all for you support. The conference took place and a total of over 11000 people participated. This conference was an amazing success, but we need to also understand that this is only the beginning. This must be the turning point to achieve a nuclear power free world.

皆さまのおかげで会議は成功に終わりました。のべ１１０００人の­来場者に２日間に渡りお越し頂き、成果のある会議になりました。­しかしこの会議はあくまでもスタート地点であり、これから私たち­が何をして「脱原発」を実現させるかが鍵となります。

Yes!! lets speak loud NUKE FREE WORLD!! (rather wanna shout NO NUKES thou) I live in Yokohama, volunteered in Tsunami stricken area. Now takin part of art project "200km from Fukushima". Yes we gained extraordinary power, convenience and development. But is out of control now and harmed our land, hurt our brother and sister, and robbed our children's future. This can be happened anywhere and actually is happening everywhere in this globe today. Can you feel the heartbeat of earth?

Living in San Clemente, California 8 miles from the San Onofre Nuclear Generating Station is frightening especially when most of the people in this town are in favor of the plant. The plant gives money to all kinds of civic causes & these folks believe that the the nuke plant executives are telling them the truth about how "this" nuke plant is safe. Will we be the next Fukushima? I will send this initiative to as many people i know to help spread the word.

I sincerely hope that enough people in the world will help put a stop to the farce that is Nuclear power. Today, post Fukushima, Chernobyl, TMI we KNOW with 100% certainty that Nuclear Power is NOT SAFE. As increasing radiation over the next 10 - 20 years from Fukushima will drive home whether we like it or not. As to cheaper...even without the disaster, just re-entombing nuclear waste every 50 years at what cost? Re-tombing Chernobyl every 20 - 30 years for 24,000 years at $1B+, cheaper NO.
