Born in Columbus, Ohio, Sullinger opted to play for his hometown team after winning National Player of the Year in High School at Columbus Northland. Sullinger led the Buckeyes to a 34-3 record and a Big 10 conference title. Although the Buckeyes came up short against Kentucky, they still had a fantastic season led by the freshman phenom
