  • People, you get what you pay for, a little common sense goes along way. If it's spitting meat, try tamping with a paper towel to remove the excess water / blood off it. Can also use a little aluminum foil to make a shield for over the end of the unit. As for germs, ensure the meat is fresh and tightly sealed in it's container and your utensils are clean! Mine works like a charm, I did 2 lbs on a double grind for beef jerky and have zero complaints. Industrial machines are for large jobs.

  • i have one but it sucks so i bought a real one.

  • The trials to keep things e-coli free is the hard part. The actual grinding is easy!!! The results are also excellent!

  • The grinder is a wonderful accessory, but it really, really needs a splash guard, as it sprays meat goo everywhere!!!! I will try freezing the meat longer next time, and I am still trying to create an attachable Splash Guard from some kind of juice or soda plastic bottle, cut to shape over the end of the grinder, so it will aim the goo down into a raised bowl, that I sit underneath as high as possible.
