Dendritic cells (DC, a type of immune cell, green) interacting with two kinds of antigen-specific T cells (red and blue) in an explanted mouse aorta visualized by multiphoton microscopy. The aorta was harvested from a mouse expressing yellow fluorescent protein (YFP) under the CD11c promoter, restricting YFP expression to CD11c+ cells, which includes DCs. T cells were isolated from transgenic mice (OTII and SMARTA) and labeled with two different fluorescent dyes. Visualized by Leica SP5 multiphoton microscope. Movie by Katya Koltsova, LIAI.
