What is stupid is that anyone thinks there needs to be an "inquiry." What is there to investigate? He said his opinion, he is entitled to his opinion, and now they know what he thinks, and that he has thoughts. And he thinks scientology is stupid. So? What is the problem?

The nature of Twitter is, those who care what John Dixon thinks follow him, and those who don't don't. Offended by his tweets? Unfollow him. That's his defense. He wasn't broadcasting anything. The only way Scientology can detect his tweet if they're not following him is to do a keyword search. They have to purposely look for disparaging comments throughout Twitter, and respond to the juicy ones. That's just what they did.

Now the Councillor needs to tweet on how stupid & PC the interviewer was.
The Councillor is right & just in his actions based on freedom of speech. Of course now there should be an inquiry on the people doing the STUPID inquiry!

UPDATE: Sept 28th 2010 - Councillor Dixon was cleared of any wrongdoing by a vote of 7:1 by the Cardiff council Standards & Ethics Committee. Suck on that stupid scientology.
