This is the first stage in growing some tobacco for pipe smoking. The seeds were planted on top of the soil about 2 weeks ago. The soil was kept moist and under a light for about 16 hours a day. After about a week they started sprouting and are now growing a little bigger. Once the leaves are about the size of a dime I will transplant them in there own containers to be allowed to grow up to a foot or so tall until they can be planted outside. Keep watching as I will add more videos later on this project. Please Rate and Subscribe. -- TMFA

  • Hey. I just bought a "grow your own tobacco" kit in a little tin. I live in england and was just wondering if these will grow on my window ledge if I plant them now? (winter) or shall I wait until spring? thanks.

  • @MrRedeyedJedi

I would wait till the spring. I had much better luck waiting till it March or so.

  • why do you need to go through all this work and time just to smoke? Its easier to just buy the tobacco from the store already made from the still in a few minutes instead of wating months like this..

  • @tatomuck18

I then know that there are not additives or pesticides used on the product. I am grow this for pipe smoking and want to know what I am smoking. Plus I like to produce my own things just like we also have a garden that produces all of our food.

  • is this virginia plants?? Im planning to grow some myself, i want to smoke with my shisha pipe. Which curing method is best because im gona be drenching it in flavors and glycerin. Thank you or your help.

  • @jamil1985

It was Shirazi tobacco. I would make a homemade curing chamber. After you cure it then case it with your flavor and press it. Slice to your desired size and enjoy smoking it. Good Luck.

  • were u get seed from

  • @TheManFromAlaska I love you

  • @TheManFromAlaska I agree. Moreover, one can also hybridize different strains via cross-pollination. Growing, harvesting, and curing tobacco is a time honored tradition. What would happen when you cross Nicotiana tabacum with N. rustica or vise versa? I too would like to know what I am smoking. I dislike processed tobacco. Growing your own puts YOU in control.

Great video! I am sharing this one with my friends. Thank you for posting this.

  • how long do tobacco plants live for

  • how you cure

  • @tatomuck18 it makes more sence its more of a hobby to grow your own its really cheap and fun for people that have patience and love enjoying something they put alot of effort into =)

  • @tatomuck18

Why? If you ask 'why', you obviously don't get the point of growing things yourself.

Growing tobacco is one of the 'freedoms' we still have. So why not?
