Peckham, 1960, and the Trotters are all under one roof: Grandad, Joan, husband Reg and the teenage Del Boy. Things suddenly change, however, when ex-con Freddie Robdal appears. Joining this comedy drama are teenage versions of Only Fools and Horses favourites Boycie, Trigger and Denzil.

  • Rock and chips was great prequel to Only Fools And Horses‎ if john sullivan had not of done one someone else would and that would of been wrong. As for Nicholas Lyndhurst he is the only one who could of played that part in the 1987 ep (Frog's Legacy) they said he looked like him and then there is the picture you saw in the last only fools if its hadn't of been nick playing him it would not of worked. If there is a series freddy won't be in it for long he blows him self up "what a plonker".

  • Mum was a wonderful women, she had long blonde golden hair .................sometimes.

  • Its so awesome, rodney was never good with ladies. But his dad was a playa... :)

  • The boy playing Trigger is spot on, James Buckley does a fine job as Del-Boy and does anyone else look at Boycie and say "That's probably what John Challis did look like when he was younger"? I wonder if he did, or could do the laugh.

  • It's Jay from the inbetweeners! :D

  • well i really like the programme!!

  • @7039TS They probrably didnt get Kellie to voice Joan cos they didn't know they were going to do a prequel 6 or 7 years later.

  • @unrealharry

when exactly do you think this is set? it's the 1960s

lots of blacks were living in britain in the 60s

plus that's Denzil, if he was in only fools and horses he'd logically have been around back then unless he was an immigrant which he wasn't judging from his accent

    you're a bit thick

I bet they altered Joan Trotter's character because a BBC committee concluded that it would have been politically incorrect to portray her as a tart. So John Sullivan had to rewrite the show's history and make Joan much smarter and more sophisticated; this was probably done to portray her as a victim of Reg Trotter. But the early shows suggested that she had many affairs and often hit her useless husband

  • @DavyTom71 I've noticed two other things about her. The first is that the clothes she wears in this are not the same ones that Del and Rodney used to dress up the sex dolls in Danger UXD. The second is that Ann Lynn who played Raquel's mum Audrey in 'Time on out hands' also provided the voice of Joan in that episode when Del took one last look at the flat. Ann Lynn's Joan voice sounded nothing like Kellie Bright's Joan voice in this. Why didn't they get Kellie to voice Joan in time on our hands?

  • nothing can beat Only fools and horses, but also back in those days there were barely any blacks, literally NONE.
