Flue - Fancy Free (1981) (Audio)

TK99! Flue was a band that were signed by the semi- legendary Torso label in Holland in the early 80's. Their music is a mixture of coldwave and guitar new wave with strong sober melodies and a dark feel. The bands consisted of four members: Edward (vocals, synthesizers), Judith (synthesizers), Jerome (bass) and Hans (drums). The producer of the group was no less than Dick Polak, lead singer for another legendary Dutch new wave band, Mecano. Flue released two albums in the 80's, "One And A Half" and "Vista", both were issued on vinyl only and are extremely hard to find nowadays. One And A Half, originally recorded in 1981, has been digitally remastered and expanded with 7 rare bonus tracks. One track is a single B-side and six tracks are demo recordings from the rehearsal room. If you like new wave / coldwave music than this should not be missed in your music collection.

Bien qu'avec le recul cette musique soit triste, elle me rappelle de bons moments passés lors de mon adolescence. Produit par le chanteur de Mecano, groupe hollandais de retour sur scène depuis quelques années...à voir absolument !

@petrusaloisius Mijn oud band maatje bij Human Beings (jaren 90 techno) heeft ooit nog bij Ce Soir gespeeld. kan me ze ook nog wel herinneren. Nog nooit materiaal van geonden helaas.

Weet iemand misschien waar de muziek van de hollandse new wave bands uit de jaren 80 zijn van, Ce Soir (Curtain of love, zelfs landelijk gedraaid), Social Secruity (landelijk gedraaid) en Viva Voce (landelijk gedraaid) Van de laatste 2 bands heb ik vinyl singles en die zijn werkelijk ongehoord goed. Ce Soir kan ik werkelijk nergens vinden helaas.
