I agree with you tuseefamin. To ask for waseela would be giving godly powers to human beings. Even our Prophet Muhammed SAW was a human being.

Firstly I am not barelvi, I am from Pakistan, barelvi shareef is in India.
My Aqa my jaan, my master, Hazrat Imam Ahmad Raza Khan rehmatullahi alay was from barelli shareef.
However I follow my own peer-o-murshid!

Visiting the grave yard and remembering that we will depart from this world is sunnat.
Secondly we go to the pious peoples graves as a waseelah in the court of Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala.
