A day in the life of a Raptor Tech

This follows a Raptor Tech at the Audubon Center for Birds of Prey in Maitland, FL, allowing us to see what her job entails. From education, feeding, lab work and trauma care, this little video provides exclusive access to all the behind-the-scenes work that goes into this high-demand job. I work as a volunteer at the International Bird Rescue Research Center in Northern California. We wash oiled wildlife, with the exception of marine mammals. (You can see an oiled loon being washed on my site.) Our hospital is for aquatic birds. But we'll stabilize oiled raptors, wash them, and transport them to the appropriate wildlife hospital. I am very impressed with your center. Wish the video were longer... I wanted to see more! Five Stars!
