Wow I'm really enjoying the old Cleveland news clips. Takes me back to my early years! I think the reason why I'm such a news junkie today is because the anchors in Cleveland were always such professionals, I have really high standards and expect a lot from news anchors here in L.A. but they all seem to fall short of the bar I have set so high because I grew up watching Cleveland news.

Ted Henry (back in the day without toupee) is really terrified in this clip that the senile old bat will really do something to embarrass WEWS Channel 5. The day she keeled over in her office they breathed a sigh of relief.

He actually had a rug back then. When I started work there, they told me, "Never make Ted nervous, or his hair will slide around!" Dorothy was a sweetie in her dotage, despite being a bit forgetful.

That REALLY good quality for such an old news clip! We always had the best tech here in Cleveland

...And I worked with 'em! We had one of the first live helicopters...we take it for granted today but back then it was quite the deal.
