When I was approached by Broadway Bound Children's Theater to design and build some of the scenic elements for their production of "Peter Pan," what I really wanted to work on most was the crocodile that features so prominently in the plot... I imagined the Ticking crocodile as a Victorian novelty mantlepiece clock that had "escaped" into Neverland... Also, keeping to the idea that things in Neverland came from dreams inspired by the Darling children's home surroundings, I imagined that Michael would have had a pull toy... this was the inspiration for the clockOdile's little legs... The puppet/costume is made from a lightweight closed cell urethane foam (L200) resting on an aluminum and wood trolley that holds the whells that make the croc's little legs move....
