Call, write, fax or email him. Let him know homeschoolers should be free from act 169 and parents should be given their constitutional rights back! This superintendent has called Children and Youth Services on us hastily (harassment if you ask me) and is now taking us to court for "truancy" charges. The superintendent said in one letter to us "...a parent does not have the right to keep a child at home and educate them how they see fit."
This video is a short documentary about homeschooling that will help you understand why we need our religious freedom to homeschool.

  • So you would risk your childs posibilities of getting work as an addult due to lack of education, just so you can teach them your religius belifs?

What about biology, chemestry and politics (from an objective view)?

Many of these things contradicts the bible, do you avoid teaching evolution and astronomy?

  • @Dextomus

Here is a list of words you misspelled in your comment telling me how I should educate my children.

    POSSIBILITIES, ADULT, RELIGIOUS, BELIEFS

    Enough said.

  • @babymakersbabymakers well english is not my mother tongue and I've might been in a rush. But instead of pointing out simple spelling errors why not reply to the full message.

In a public school you have different teachers for each subject to give the children the best understanding possible. These are people that have studied the subject they teach and know how to teach.

You can teach your children, but not in the same indept way a real teacher can.

  • @Dextomus

    You are misinformed!

    1. Colleges WANT homeschoolers! We've proved ourselves dedicated & studious. Since they're raised "thinking outside the box" they're also GREAT candidates for starting businesses.

    2. All subjects mentioned can be learned in depth. You don't need a school, or a teacher, to learn these things. You need passion. Many great people, inventors & scientists were self taught.

    3. Evolution is religion- not science.

    4. PS is a joke. 1 teacher, 20+ kids, lower SAT's.NO THNX

  • @babymakersbabymakers aaah see this is where this is failing 1 and 2 could be argued back and forth but number 3....

This is what will be dangerus for you children. Claiming evolution is a religion is the same as claiming gravity is religion. Evolution is the teaching about how life evolved and why we have different species. This is proven through DNA, fosils, genitic mutations etc etc... This is a very important subject that everyone should have basic understanding of.

  • @Dextomus Evolution is a "theory" meaning that they "think" it is true. Once they thought the universe revolved around the earth and that the earth was flat. Many scientists believe in creation by God. There haven't been any positive genetic mutations. Fossil age is based off of rock layers which is based off of fossils which is circular reasoning. If we came from a big bang why are there moons & planets rotating backwards? Study rotational momentum for more info. I can send you free dvds.

  • @babymakersbabymakers do you even understand what the word religion means and yes evolution is a theory no one worships evolution lol that would be like a doctor praying to cancercells but hey it isnt your fault you obviously only believe whats in an outdated book that said the earth was flat

  • @babymakersbabymakers way to attack his grammar when hes making a good point what arer you gonna teach your kids that the world is 5 thousand years old and that we use to live with dinosaurs lol

  • @Dextomus Evolution is a a "theory" in the same way as Gravity, relativity, electromagnetism etc etc witch all have been tested inn all possible ways to give us a good understanding of how these things work.

The reason for planets spinning "backwards" have to do with the violent creation of the solar system where large peices of rock slamed into each other or large asteroids beeing caught by the planets gravitational field. Our moon is the remains of a large colition 4.5 billion year ago.

  • The child who narrating the video is 12. It was more like a life assignment then a research one. We live our projects in this house.
