There's been unconfirmed Thylacine sightings ever since it first went extinced. I'm guessing that's the reason.

Yes,it is mildly sad,but there are way more important & sad events taking place right now around the world.And so long as man insists on being the supreior species,or thinking it is,then this kind of thing will continue to happen.
