EJ Manuel Makes a Case for the Heisman: By the Numbers

Florida State QB EJ Manuel had a performance Saturday night against Clemson that surely caught the attention of plenty of Heisman Trophy voters. In his team's 49-37 win, Manuel threw for 380 yards and two touchdowns and rushed for 102 yards.

Why is your reply so splenetic ? You own SEC stock? Are you mad that Notre Dame Is going to beat the crap out of Alabama? secondly I spelled loose instead of lose by accident because I have a sensitive keyboard. I don't need spelling lessons from a guy who looks like he dropped out of the tenth grade because of fractions. Last I checked the SEC has no top offense whatsoever. In college football offenses beats defense every time.

The SEC just beat the hell out of the ACC! The two teams playing for the ACC championship got crushed and the second best ACC team lost AT HOME to a backup QB and no Lattimore! The only team in the ACC to beat FSU lost to a Tennessee team that only beat Kentucky in SEC play! That is just the SEC east! Imagine if you had to play Bama,LSU and Texas A&M! The SEC is a conference not a division and LOOSE is the opposite of TIGHTand LOSE is the opposite of WIN which the ACC is familiar with!

SEC stinks....They are overrated in the polls and always loose when facing teams like Boise, Oregon USC. There are good defenses in the SEC but offensively your conference flat out stinks. Thats why so few QBs come out of that division that only runs the ball.

Well considering that the sec has won the last 6 national championships I would consider teams from that conference to be a ultimate test compared to acc teams or these Division 3 teams that fsu has been playing.

Not to sound argumentative, but I'm curious as to why you (and many others) suggest that the SEC is the ultimate test, in terms of College Football?

It's not impossible, but it's way too early to even think about it. Plus, because he wasn't in on the pre-season Heisman hype, one bad game will knock his name off the radar. The Heisman is very much a popularity contest.
