Sayama is very impressive, but Sid Cooper deserves far more praise for selling Sayamas offence to such perfection. If Sayama did those moves to somebody who would just fall over, it would not have the magnificant impact as Cooper made it out to be. Cooper was a brilliant heel or bad guy. He was obviously very professional. He made a midget called Tom Thumb look the biz in a Big Daddy bout. Cooper deserves far more recognition for his contribution to the British Wrestling scene.

Funny thing- the predominantly white, working class audience for British wrestling ALWAYS cheered for a black or asian wrestler against the white guy. Maybe a BNP supporter could explain this.

I never knew about British rasslin. I grew up watching Georgia Championship Wrestling during the late 70's and early 80's. And thought that was the best. This is awesome. P.S. Les Thornton was my favorite British rassler.

i remember watching Sid Cooper live in 1986 , in Eastbourne, he wrestled Big Daddy that time...and then had an argument with a lady in the crowd ... :))).... I never thought he could have fought my favourite satoru sayama....

@iknowme Just watched it. I think, anyway. "DaidoJuku vs Shooto"? Not exactly impressive, no, but to be fair, it was one-on-one and on a mat. If buddy had three buddies, and Sayama had some ropes...
