Are you aware that NIN was doing industrial music before Numan? Numan didn't start making industrial until well after the likes of NIN and Marilyn Manson... he actually cites them as he influences for his later material.

yeah but i'm pretty willing to say, a lot of the new wave artists help make the road for industrial, so on one hand you are right about Numan doing industrial later, but the stuff he was doing in 79 and the 80's kind of evolved into what we have now. But thats just my view upon it

hmm. sttrange comment, Numan is more the king of electronic music in general, moreso than industrial.. that title applies more to bands like skinny puppy ministry and nin themselves
