How long do high rpm motor last?
-
@FatedRaver sounds healthy to me , there are many reasons a motor will lay down, mostly tune and driver error though, a build error on the dyno at 9500 would def show weakness/ dam due to build error. over boost over shoot over rev, come to mind. What did the 1st filter look like? Clean? If not why didn't someone pull it down? Sounds like driver/tuner error.

@helloman1976 no one makes an off the shelf cam with proper lift/dur for 9500 rpm
-
@grabberblusnake nascar motor on the street = shit
-
@UnderdogModular if you got 35k to spend on a engine just spend an extra 5k and get a full blown nascar engine that redlines at 10,000 rpm
-
@tonytufnutz it is a 5.4 modular being it has the cams over the heads.
-
35k??? what JUNK!!!!!! your the donkey that built it couldn't compete + couldn't last one season!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
-
didn't last 1 season those donkeys at VT built this junk and everything ended up in the PAN!!!!!!!!!!!!!
