Dexter and Rita - Beautiful Tribute

Dexter Morgan (The Dark Defender) and his beloved Rita to the tune of Sevendust's Beautiful. Song starts 60 seconds in, it was felt that the beginning part was needed to introduce the situation/theme of the video. Spoilers only if you don't know about Dexter's mom. Sometimes I feel like only the damaged can love the damaged. Normal people can't understand real trauma.

@BM1CK87 She was annoying. And it's not really the character, it's the actress. I'm glad I don't have to see her ever again. But I started liking her on her last episode, and then they killed her, sad and shocking. They really made her look like a good interesting person in the end.

I find it interesting that in early seasons of Dexter the feeling they set is like you want Rita to be gone at first. Not dead, but gone, what with her getting in the way of his dark passenger an all. Then as the story and seasons progress, the viewer builds as much of an attachment to Rita as they do Dexter. And right when she becomes a safe and consistent character to the point where you think she could never die.... She does, in the most gripping way. That's good storytelling yo.

I guess with the new series going along, we find out who is Rita's killer.

she had to die. It made for a perfect set up. IT was the best finale in the world.

he whole point is him beginging to feel human and less monster. along with feelings of love, come feelings of suffering. so season 5 is probably going to be him suffering and in pain. and blaming himself for her death and the now tainted life of his kid.

Well as much as we hate it...it's interestign to see where it take Dexter, I mean he spent all season trying to control all aspects of his life but Arthur really showed him that he can't control everything and that what he does with his dark passenger will spill over to the ones he cares about
