  • Perfect play its fantastic, but have a question,I play this Sonata since a week and these accords in freebass in the beginning are very difficult to play cause of the changes from the 4 notes, can you help please?

  • Hi. Yeah the left-hand requires alot of finger-yoga to get around the chords. Use your thumb on the outside row if possible, gives you a 'spare' finger then. Just keep practicing jumping from 1 chord to the next, forwards and backwards. This is quint system freebass, should be easier on chromatic system if you have one.

  • This is marvelous. Does the accordion have a history or tradition in classical music? I know that Vivaldi and Beethoven wrote for Mandolin (Mandolino) which were considered 'popular' music instruments at the time

  • Hi, no, the accordion has no 'classical' music written for it. Its only been possible to play this sort of stuff in the last 50-60 years or so with the freebass system which I am using here. But now music is being composed for it, especially in Russia and France. The accordion in this form (bellows/keyboard and buttons) was only invented 100-150 years ago I think.
