WLS Daytime Emmy Press Room Coverage: GH Writing Team

To the surprise of many, the GENERAL HOSPITAL writing team won the Emmy for Outstanding Writing in a Drama Series at Sunday's Daytime Emmy ceremony in Los Angeles. Associate Head Writer Elizabeth Korte was the spokesperson for the group but other writers answered questions as well. Noticeably absent was Head Writer Bob Guza. When asked by We Love Soaps' Damon L. Jacobs twice about the level of violence on GH, Korte explained it is never their intention to glamorize it, saying they wanted their stories to show the consequences of the violence.
