Carrying a concealed handgun

The longer I carry the more I realize I really don't want to hurt anyone else. My brother used to carry and doesn't anymore because he doesn't believe he could handle the personal consequences. He and I are both former Marines with combat experience and in a pinch we could both take a life without hesitation but when you carry there is a lot of responsibility on your hip to behave in a way that will prevent conflict. Concealed carry is heavy burden, not to be taken lightly.

I agree 100% thanks for the video.

Good points, very utilitarian, I would probably post a video response. I deeply disagree on the carrying from time to time aproach.

Love the vid, you made a lot of valid points that I will exercise when I start carrying.

You brought up a good point. Don't respond to a superficial confrontation.
Like a traffic altercation or cuts in a grocery store line. If it's that important to them then just smile and let them go. You probly need to slow down anyway or it will give you time to think about what you forgot.

You are the people that should have a gun CCW or not. However there are a few Bob DeNiro "Taxi Drivers". Like your disclaimers. Just your opinion. Cool.
I like the angle you approached the subject from. Just like you stress throughout your video, concealed handgun is only for self defense and should be used carefully. I don't necessarily agree with your approach to try to back off before you pull the gun out. However, when you decide to pull the gun out you usually don't need to pull the trigger. The threat of the use of force is usually sufficient to stop the attacker, and when used early can help to deescalate the situation quickly.

I guess it would depend on the situation at hand. If you got an attacker that has a clear cut intention on causing you and/or a loved one bodily harm, then yeah by all means draw your firearm. You're right, in most cases a shot is never fired.

Yeah there are some people out there who are a little hot headed and tend to let their emotions get the best of them. Thanks for the comments!
