LMAO ! This is total whacko stuff. The clowns minting this "money" are intentionally trying to deceive people that their medallions are a form a currency to be accepted by everyone. This is not competition, it's fraud.

BTW, there is no inherent difference with silver, paper, rocks used as money. Bet these "mint" people don't issue copper pennies and nickels, given the value of the metal is more than what the money is worrth.

They will never be able to get rid of this as a currency. Its gold, silver, and copper. You might as well tell people "Its now illegal to pretend like cocaine has value, there took care of that one". They have intrinsic value, they will always be treated as valuable just because of the metal they are made of.

They're worth more than fiat money, which could crash any day now. When the fiat dollar becomes worthless this could be the only thing that saves our nation.

ok so if they are worth 20 bucks why are they 24? I understand they are silver and what not but still they should either be 20 bucks or just under. i would buy them and use them if i wasn't having to pay to use it.

The Liberty Dollar project is such a pure and ethical and peaceful endeavor. I cannot think of a better idea and process to fix our financial trouble as well as our erosion of Liberty and Rights. Through the Liberty Dollar, if not stiffled by the primitive brutes, would be and excellent and painless way to transition from the debt based fraudulent banking system of tyranny we now live under to a truly free market system based on property, Rights, and Reason.

This video makes an important illustration. That is that in a truly free market where the government is properly relegated to its legitimate purpose of protecting Individual Rights, Equally before the law, a malignant monopoly cannot exist. Only through the use of force and physical violence (Government compliance and/or legalistic justification)can a monopoly exist. A natural monopoly can exist through efficient practices but this damages no one. The Fed is able to do damage because of law.

What is really awful is that no one really knows anymore what a dollar is. It has no definition. It has been given over to an arbitrary power of an arbitrary setter of values. The people who really give the dollar value are those who produce goods to trade for that FRN. The law of supply and demand will not be conned. To keep the value of a FRN, producers have to produce as much as the FED prints out money. When they can't keep up the FRN looses value. Counterfeiters (the FED) are insatiable.

For the life of me... I can't imagine any grounds to arrest someone for owning silver or even crafting it into a seriers of coins. It's not a crime. However, arresting someone without just cause IS A CRIME. You're absolutely right... abiding by the law carries a harsher sentence than breaking the law.

as the economy goes under ground the fed /irs will fight any and all challenges to its fiat dollar. Im not sure about a paper version of these new money but the silver ones would be a wise investment as they actually have value. The stuff in our wallet is better used in the restroom but as long as businesses take it then they value it so it is what it is. Bartering is where its at. Ridley needs to take all of his stuff and make it into a movie that we can download or buy id like to see all tied
