awesome lesson man. one thing i thought i'd say about that 'stretch' that you mentioned at 0:28; i once noticed John Mayer playing the exact same kind of lick but using his 2nd finger for the 5th-fret 4th-string note. I've been trying it myself and even though its a bitch to break out of the habit of using the 3rd finger it really makes the jump back up to the 6th fret 2nd string so much easier. :)
