These are the original "Arthur" series underwriter cards from 1996. Also include the opening and closing theme songs and bumpers. Recorded in October 1996 from South Dakota Public TV. Arthur was still a brand new show!!

This video was made from two seperate episodes. The opening comes from the episode "D.W.'s Imaginary Friend\Arthur's Lost Library Book" and the closing comes from "D.W. All Wet\Buster's Dino Dilemma".

Apologies in advance for the "wavy" sounding audio during the show opening.

  • Arthur ftw!!!

  • @gillinjohn NO CONTEST! 90's Arthur, TOTALLY BEATS ALL!!!!

  • memories, so many memories

  • Back when the "Viewers Like You" line wasn't followed by "Thank You"

  • I REMEMBER THESE!

The earliest Arthur episodes reminded me of "The Busy World of Richard Scarry" (same company and producers, but it wasn't aired on PBS.)

Hmm, having seen the classic episodes with the newer opening/closings, I wonder what it'd look like with a newer episode using these old opening/closings?

  • @sclublnbtfan really? It's still around? I agree, nothing beats the older styles of tv shows. Anyone remember waiting until Saturday just to watch cartoons in general? I sure do! lol!

  • @FirstShirtBeastblood Arthur is still around with new episodes. but nothing beats 90s Arthur. =D
