Is it too late to start at 25? I already know quite a bit about the basics, and used to practice on-off a couple of years ago. What do you think? It's just something I want to be decent at, as a hobby (and for help with self defence). Anyone?

@antitobaccopsa Punch out drills. You can google them but the concept is you punch for the entire 2 or 3 minute round. I always threw straights (jab, right) for 30 seconds, hooks for 30 seconds, uppercuts for 30 seconds and finished out with "box it out" for 30 seconds. Boxing it out is really mixing it up, throw combos move your head and pivot, just combine all aspects of boxing. If your not so much into the boxing (sweet science) just keep the pace high and finish strong.

@7777Eagles7777 It really depends on what you want to get out of it. Punching power? Movement? Fluency in your combinations? Endurance? Too many people just smash on the heavy bag with no goal, which is a terrible mistake and quite frankly a waste of time. There is no single right method, except the one that applies directly to what your goal of that specific heavy bag session.

nice, good power. i like to get on the inside a bit more when i hit the heavy bag, that's where you generate some serious power. i hit the heavy bag every day, for about an hour to two hours, huge difference between hitting it everyday and every other day. also, this is off topic but what kind of car is that in the background?

@sk8forlife90 thanks for the feedback. The car in the background is a Chrysler Cirrus early 2000 if I remember correctly. It is my dads car, it ran great at the time, as of the past 6 months its parked with a fuel supply issue. It has served its time and probably headed toward the grave yard.
