Had it been a Justin Timberlake vocal, this track would have been fairly acceptable. The problem is Simon isn't Justin. RCM is just a trainwreck of Timbaland stock-beats carelessly thrown at a band who are far, far better than that. EDM is one of my main musical loves, but other than proper remixes, it just shouldn't be crossed with Duran Duran.

@bauhaus77 I agree with you. I love this song. And maybe 3 other songs on RCM. And I agree I love the evolutio of the band. In fact my two favorite albums are Medazzaland and Notorious and I am a DAY ONE fan. But RCM was not what I would want from the band. I love the new one though.

I personally have loved the evolution of DD. I will always treasure the likes of Rio, SATRT, but I have no problem embracing the new as well. Tempted is such a good song....a song that has grown on me quite a bit. And for the record, All We Need is Now is a great new album...blends old school DD with new school...really digging it. (The Man Who Stole a Leopard is a remarkable song.....blew me away the first time I heard it) :)

@innerstatejt There new album, All You Need is Now is INFINITELY superior to Red Carpet Massacre. I haven't stopped playing it in a month. Best since the Wedding Album.

Duran Duran are fucking excellent. When i hear say Wild Boys or Planet Earth, i think that DD have evolved so far and credit big time. If you have been as globally successful as DD you have to adapt and evolve otherwise you become either Status Quo or even a tad Oasis (i love Oasis by the way).
