you cant blame people for taking this seriously...back in those days there wasnt internet, tv, cnn, etc....they learned of current events through their radios...so after hearing this, i bet those people were shitting themselves!!! lol

@cr0c0d1lu its was a radioman that transmitted his own version of the war of the worlds. People that wasnt on the program from the start thought it was real an people got really scared and armed themself and a lot else
