"The Merry Widow" is an operetta by the Austro-Hungarian composer Franz Lehar. The operetta has enjoyed extraordinary international success since its 1905 premiere in Vienna and continues to be frequently revived. Featured in the 1934 and 1952 films of the same name. "Merry Widow Waltz" is one of the well-known music from this operetta score.
